Q: When does registration for SMU Gravical 2018 close?
A: SMU Gravical 2018 will close registrations when all slots have been filled.
Q: What if slots have been filled due to high demand?
A: Competitors can continue to register via another registration link and be put on waiting list. We will inform you through email for further clarifications.
Q: When should I register to enjoy the early bird prices?
A: To enjoy early bird prices, competitors must register online before the Early Bird Registration window closes.
Q: How will I know if my registration has been successful?
A: Competitors will receive a Registration Confirmation email upon successful registration for payment instructions.
Upon receiving payment, a payment confirmation email, along with an electronic receipt (e-receipt) will be sent to your registered email to inform you that you have successfully secured your registered slot in the SMU Gravical 2018. (Slots will only be confirmed once payment is made.)
Q: Can I get a fee refund if I choose to withdraw after payment?
A: There will be no fee refund. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions.
Q: Am I allowed to transfer my climbing entry to another party?
A: Competitors are strictly not allowed to transfer their climbing entry, else faces disqualification.
Q: Can I make any changes to my particulars after submitting my registration?
A: Do email SMU Gravical 2018 at email@example.com.
Q: How can international competitors make payment?
A: International competitors can make payment either via cash or bank transfer. A registration confirmation email will be sent to the registrant’s email to notify them about payment instructions. A payment booth will be set up at the registration counter for cash collection. Alternatively, competitors can get his/her counterpart in Singapore to make payment on their behalf.
Q: Am I allowed to wear my own t-shirts?
A: No. Competitors must wear the official event T-shirt during their climb.
Q: Is there an age limit for Novice, Intermediate, Open & Team categories?
A: There is no age limit for the all categories.
Q: What is the climbing format for the different categories?
A: The Flash Format will be used during the U17, Novice, Intermediate and Open Qualifying rounds, whereas the Rotation Format will be used during the Open Semifinals and ALL categories’ finals.
Q: How is the Team Category going to be run?
A: Refer to Rules & Regulations.
Q: Will a national climber from the youth team still be able to be able to join the other categories?
A: No, all youth national climber under the age of 17 and have never participated in Singapore bouldering competitions will be allowed to participate in the Intermediate category and above.
Q: How is the Fun Climb Event going to be carried out?
A: Beginner-Friendly routes will be set. Multiple routes will be set so climbers can have an array of routes to climb. Fun climb is for everyone of all ages to bond together!
Q: Who can join the Fun Climb event?
A: Anyone!! All members of the public are welcomed. However, competitors who have registered for other categories will not be allowed to join.
Q: What do I need to bring for the Fun Climb Event?
A: Climbing shoes preferably. But sports attire and sports shoes are a must.
